Access to the international market requires certification that can be difficult, time consuming and invariably expensive.

mikes-testingpartners gmbh offers you a solution to this problem by means of a certification in accordance with the CB - scheme. (-> Registration)

CB stands for “Certification Body”, an international system for mutual recognition of test results. It was originally developed in 1965 by the European organisation CEE (International Commission on Rules for the Approval of Electrical Equipment) and was transferred to the IEC (IECEE) in 1985. It is based on a multi-lateral agreement between the participating states and certification organisations.

The CB – Scheme gains ever increasing acceptance worldwide and is one of the most advantageous solutions for the distribution of your products on the global markets. Currently the agreement incorporates more than 50 product certification organisations, i.e.“National Certification Bodies” (NCB) and more than 200 test laboratories (“CBTL” – CB Testing Laboratory) in 50 countries inside USA, Europe, Asia (including China, Japan), Australia and Africa.

The CB - scheme is applicable to such products for which IEC standards are available and on the condition that such standards and products have been categorised for the use under the CB - scheme. Products are tested in accordance with these IEC standards and in most cases the tests incorporate any national deviations. These national deviations are special requirements that IEC or, the CB – agreement, concedes to each country thus facilitating acceptance in these countries by addressing regional safety aspects. An example of these deviations is the consideration applied to the various mains connection requirements with regard to voltage, frequency and plug.

Once tests have been completed and it has been ascertained that the product meets the requirements, a CB – test report is issued by mikes testingpartners gmbh. In co-operation with our NCB the -“SLG Prüf- und Zertifikations GmbH” – you will receive, along with the test report, a CB – certificate. This certificate can be used for the acquisition of national certificates (GS, UL, S).
